Year 2

21st January 2022

Year 2- Poetry

Year 2 children are going to be writing free verse woodland poems during the week beginning 31st Jan.

We will be using images and video clips to bring the woods to them as much as possible for writing inspiration.

However, if you are able to visit a wood or forest and encourage children to think about what they can see, feel, hear, touch and smell, that would be very beneficial to support and extend their language.

Children are also invited to bring in examples of bark, leaves, seed pods etc for closer observation.

Thank you  for your continued support.

The lesson will be taking place on Thursday 25th November and Friday 26th November, so please bring in your sticks before Thursday.
