Next week, our school embarks on an exciting journey of discovery as we host our Faith and Worldview Week. This special week is a cornerstone of our commitment to preparing our pupils for life in modern Britain, focusing on the core values of Mutual Respect and Tolerance.
What’s Happening?
Our pupils won't just be reading from textbooks; they’ll be engaging in experiential learning to understand the diverse tapestry of beliefs that make up our community:
Interactive Workshops: We are thrilled to welcome several local religious leaders into school to share their stories and answer student questions.
Learning on Location: Classes will be visiting various places of worship, including a local church and a mosque, to see history and culture come to life.
A Note for Our Families
We understand that faith is deeply personal. The goal of these visits and visitors is academic and cultural.
Learning, Not Practising: This week is about religious literacy. Pupils are exploring "what people believe" and "why," rather than being coached or encouraged to join any specific faith group.
Building Respect: By stepping inside different buildings and hearing different perspectives, our children learn to navigate the world with an open mind and a respectful heart.
We are so proud to provide a space where our pupils can ask big questions and grow into well-rounded, informed citizens. Keep an eye on our page next week for photos of our adventures!
