As part of our continued work on promoting a shared love of reading, the children in Y3, Y4 and Y5 will be taking part in a live ‘Make a Miniature Book’ workshop with illustrator Axel Scheffler, on Wednesday 19^th January. Axel Scheffler is best known for his cartoon-like pictures for children's books, in particular ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘The Gruffalo's Child’, written by popular author Julia Donaldson. He has also authored/illustrated the Pip and Posy series of books for children. This is a wonderful experience for the children to learn from a children’s book illustrator and I’m sure they will create some wonderful miniature books of their own.
