Show Racism the Red Card

Dear Parents/Carers,

One of our core values at Burnside is that all people are treated equally regardless of race, disability, sex/gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, pregnancy/maternity or marriage/civil partnership.

Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racist educational charity who aim to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominately footballers, to present an anti-racist message to young children.

In support of the amazing work SRTRC do, we would like to offer your child the opportunity to wear something RED to school next Friday 20th October should they wish to.

As with other non-uniform days children are invited to bring in a monetary donation or parents may prefer to donate on the school money APP.

Children can come completely dressed in red, they may wear a red top or bottoms as part of their outfit or they may choose to wear red socks or a hair accessory.

Our school assembly (Nursery and Reception pupils will be visited in their classrooms) will be delivered by SRTRC and during the day their team will be delivering workshops to our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.

There will be an opportunity for your child to purchase some merchandise.
